I have some photos that my Dad, Thomas M. Cockrell, took in '44-'45 when he was with the 42nd Bomb Group.  If you post them on the website maybe someone can identify some of the men.  I believe they were taken at a party at the officer's club of the 100th Bomb Squadron.  I don't know if the location is on Sansapor or Palawan.  There is what looks to be crepe paper bells hanging in some shots.  Could be left over Christmas decorations.  My guess is it's New Years Eve in 1944.  My mother says that my Dad painted the picture of the woman over the bar.  He really was quite an artist.  The only identified person in any photo is William R. Florence.  He is the one standing in front of the bar, facing left, holding a glass as someone pours him a drink.  If all this is too much, use whatever you want.  Hope they are interesting to somebody.
