At the Washington, DC reunion the
members there overwhelmingly approved the 2005 reunion to be in Scottsdale,
Arizona and voted to allow me to coordinate the reunion again for the Group
... so here we go!! The reunion for the VVWII Memorial Dedication was an
unforgettable experience!!! Thanks to all who attended and, especially, all
who made the event so successful-John & Shirley Balfour (thanks Dad &
Mom!!!), Fred Casimo, and George & Bob Williams!
The 2005 reunion will be much more relaxed and will afford more time to
visit with old & new friends in a beautiful resort setting. We will be
staying at the Fairfield Inn-Downtown Scottsdale where you'll enjoy world
famous Marriott hospitality! The hotel includes a daily deluxe hot & cold
continental breakfast buffet, heated outdoor pool & whirlpool, fitness
center, etc. We'll also be spending a day at Luke AFB. There will be time
for shopping (Scoftsdale Fashion Square Mall and Old Town Scottsdale are in
walking or trolley distance), sightseeing or just enjoying the beautiful
accommodations!!!
YOU MUST commit to getting your room NOW ... We can get 30-40 rooms,
so call now to reserve you room and immediately send back your reunion
response and menu form! The room cost is $69 a night, plus tax. This
discounted price is valid the 4 nights of the reunion and any amount of days
before and after the reunion. The rooms are large & beautifully appointed
with king or double beds, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, coffeemaker,
free local phone calls, etc. (note-blue shuttle to the hotel from Sky Harbor
lnt'l Airport is $18. per person 1 way, while a cab is $25. per cab-So find
a buddy to share!!
